Paddywack

Price range: £1.49 through £3.99

Description

Paddywack is a popular natural dog treat made from the nuchal ligament (also called the neck tendon or ligamentum nuchae) of cattle or sheep. It’s a tough, durable chew that is air-dried to enhance its longevity, making it ideal for dogs that love to gnaw.
Paddywack is valued for being 100% natural, grain-free, and free from artificial additives, colours, or preservatives.

Paddywack is high in protein (up to 85%) and low in fat, making it a healthy option for dogs, including those on weight management plans. It naturally contains glucosamine and chondroitin, which support joint health and mobility—especially beneficial for older dogs or breeds prone to joint issues. The chew also promotes dental hygiene by encouraging prolonged chewing, which helps reduce plaque and tartar buildup.

Additionally, paddywack contains elastin and type 3 collagen, supporting skin, coat, and overall connective tissue health. It’s a low-odour and highly digestible alternative to rawhide, which is often chemically processed.

Paddywack is generally safe for adult dogs of all breeds and, depending on the breed, can be suitable for puppies as young as 8–16 weeks. However, it is not recommended for puppies under 4 months, dogs with weak teeth, or elderly dogs with dental issues due to its hardness.

Always supervise your dog while they chew to prevent choking or ingestion of large pieces. Ensure fresh water is available at all times. Sourced from Australian or British farm-assured cattle, high-quality paddywack avoids chemical treatments and irradiation common in some imported treats.
